Chautauqua Lake Rowing Association
 


We are a group of rowers and rowing enthusiasts dedicated to the promotion of the sport of rowing on Chautauqua Lake, a sport which once held great prominence here. Rowing is not only enjoyable,  it has many benefits; it provides fitness, is environmentally friendly, and helps to strengthen the community. Contact us for more information.

  • Incorporated December 14, 2005.
  • Not for Profit 501(c)3 Corporation.
  • Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
  • Programs are run by a team of volunteer coaches.
  • Created and expanded a scholastic rowing program.
  • During the first five years, instructed over 200 individuals per year.

Boathouse leased from the City of Jamestown.

  • Own one 2003 Jennings bow-coxed four-person shell.
  • Own two 1997 Dirigo eight-person shells.
  • Own two 1994 Schoenbroad four-person shells.
  • Own a J-16 Carolina Skiff motor boat for coaching.
  • Own two recreational sculling shells.
  • Own one Vespoli Racing Shell Trailer
  • Boathouse and launching area leased from the City of Jamestown.

Cleveland Rowing Foundation - Cleveland, OH - 2 hour 30 mins drive

Cornell University - Ithaca, NY - 3 hour drive

Three Rivers Rowing - Pittsburgh, PA - 3 hour drive
